I create unique and individual works of functional and decorative art have a diverse and distinctive collection of high quality glassworks.
Born in Braintree, I am proud to be an Essex boy! I have lived in various counties in and around London prior to moving to Scotland 10 years ago.
Being a ‘Warm Glass Artist’ all my work is heated to high temperatures in a kiln to produce the desired outcome and texture.
The term ‘Warm Glass’ comes from the fact that the activity within the kiln takes place at temperatures between 593° to 927° Celsius.
Although this is far hotter than a conventional oven it is not as hot as a glass
furnace where the glass is molten and used for glass blowing -
Conversely it is not room temperature as when working on stained glass -
There are 3 major kinds of Warm Glass techniques:
Glass Fusing -
Glass Slumping -
Kiln Casting -
